The latest iteration of this cool fighting series is almost upon us. The new Fight Night is slicker, quicker and better looking than its predecessor. Fight Night has an improved physics engine and gameplay creating an even more realistic boxing experience.
If the last one is anything to go by this game is going to be a classic! You can play single player, the online championship or invite your mates round for a pint and a fight!
OnLive is a cool tech company that has turned the gaming world on its head at the recent Game Developer's Conference. OnLive has announced a cloud-based gaming service to go-live in the autumn that doesn't require the gamer to own the latest and greatest computer hardware.
All the games are streamed from their super computers to your PC or Mac. Since all the grunt work is done by their super computers almost any computer will do. OnLive will also be releasing a console that does the same thing for your television and is rumoured to be priced less than a Wii.
Street Fighter IV is not just a game, it's a piece of 90s pop culture with a 21st century gloss. How many other games can claim to have inspired both an indie band (Hadouken) and a rubbish Jean-Clause Van Damme movie? Frankly, you'd have to be some sort of weirdo not to want to play this cool game...
The World of Goo is one of the gems of 2008. The game is a horribly addictive puzzle game from an indie game studio - made by only two people. The object of the game is to use pieces of Goo to build structures to get other Goo to the exit pipe. This horrendously cool game has a twisted graphic and sound style and lots of variation. It is available for Mac, Windows, Wii and Linux (soon).
This role-playing game is an epic masterpiece from the same people who brought us Oblivion. Set in the post-apocalyptic United States, you start in an isolated underground vault before you leave to adventure into a limitless wasteland in search of your father. Fallout 3 has stunning visual effects and many hours of gameplay with many side-missions. This game is definitely worth a look.
