The World of Goo is one of the gems of 2008. The game is a horribly addictive puzzle game from an indie game studio - made by only two people. The object of the game is to use pieces of Goo to build structures to get other Goo to the exit pipe. This horrendously cool game has a twisted graphic and sound style and lots of variation. It is available for Mac, Windows, Wii and Linux (soon).

A Dirty Job stars Charlie who is a pretty normal beta male-type bloke. He lives a normal (read boring) life until it is turned on its head when his wife dies. His adventure starts as he becomes soul collector in a crazy world.

Christopher Moore tackles the morbid topic of death with a whimsical and humorous attitude. This cool book is laugh out loud funny and definitely worth a read.

Wes is a regular guy, though a bit of a nobody who isn't having a great time with life. His girlfriend is cheating on him, he has a dead end job and his best friend is taking advantage of him. Enter Fox (Angelina Jolie) to completely flip his world.

This film is a bit far fetched and completely bizarre in places, but that is part of the attraction. Cool special effects and tons of action - its out now on DVD and is well worth a watch.

This role-playing game is an epic masterpiece from the same people who brought us Oblivion. Set in the post-apocalyptic United States, you start in an isolated underground vault before you leave to adventure into a limitless wasteland in search of your father. Fallout 3 has stunning visual effects and many hours of gameplay with many side-missions. This game is definitely worth a look.

Get your popcorn popping, Iron Man is for all the comic book fans. Even if you haven't read the comics, this action-packed film is everything you could ever want from a superhero film - visual effects to give you goosebumps, a talented cast and an engaging storyline.
